Newport

Rhode Island is not a "speed bump between New York and Boston." It is the smallest state in the union -- It has the longest name in the union. It's not called the Ocean State for nothing. It has a larger percentage of ocean front property than any other state. Its total state population is less than most big cities. Rhode Island was founded on self-expression and free-spirits. Its people are quirky. It's a perfect place to get away from it all.

Newport is one of the nation's oldest towns. It is also one of its most famous. You can eat all the quahogs and clam cakes you can hold. You can find Del's lemonade anywhere. You can experience big-city night life and small New England town day-life all in one day. Clean ocean air is free for the inhaling, and honking of geese outnumber honking of cars.

Newport is where history and happenings co-mingle.
Come make some history of your own!
